A living surface. Plain Work's Lime Paint is a 100% pure mineral and botanical system — formulated from High-Purity Mountain Minerals and Plant-Derived Cellulose binders. It breathes with your walls, resists mould naturally, and grows more beautiful as it ages. Specified for Singapore and Malaysia's high-humidity environments.
The Complete System
Plain Work is not a paint. It is a mineral wall system — primer, pigment, and seal — engineered for tropical walls.
Preparation
Quartz-silicate primer that creates a micro-rough mineral surface on any wall — including previously painted surfaces. Without it, lime cannot bond.
The Finish
100% mineral Lime Paint in 52 shades. Two coats applied by brush, each colour reacting uniquely with tropical daylight. The living surface that breathes, absorbs CO₂, and resists mould naturally.
Protection
Natural beeswax-based topcoat for wet zones — kitchens, bathrooms, and high-touch areas. Adds subtle sheen and water resistance while keeping the mineral surface breathable. Optional for dry rooms.
What Makes It Different
Unlike synthetic paints, our finish is not a coating applied on top of a wall — it becomes the wall.
The finish does not trap moisture. It actively allows walls to release humidity, eliminating the root cause of mould, bubbling, and peeling in tropical climates.
High-alkalinity mineral lime is inherently hostile to mould, mildew, and bacteria — without synthetic biocides or chemical additives. Safe for children's rooms and allergy-sensitive households.
As lime cures, it re-mineralises — absorbing CO₂ from the air and returning to stone. A wall that improves your indoor air quality as it hardens.
No synthetic plastics. No artificial resins. No animal by-products. Formulated entirely from High-Purity Mountain Minerals and Plant-Derived Cellulose — safe for nurseries, conscious homes, and green-rated buildings.
Pure mineral paint in powder form. Lime, earth pigments, nothing else.
Pure mineral lime and earth pigments, pre-mixed as dry powder. Add water at home, stir, and paint. Breathable, antimicrobial, zero VOC. Cures by absorbing CO₂ from the air — literally turning back into stone on your wall.
All strokes in one direction — horizontal or vertical. Clean, directional movement with visible bristle marks. The most classic Lime Paint look.
First coat horizontal, second coat diagonal. Creates a woven, artisanal texture with depth where strokes intersect. Our recommended technique.
Press and lift — a dabbing motion that creates a soft, cloud-like mottled effect. No directional strokes, just organic, randomised marks.
Multiple thin coats blended for minimal visible strokes. The most refined, understated finish — matte and chalky with subtle natural movement.
Lime paint is a mineral skin. It does not hide holes (lubang), cracks, or uneven wall joints—it exaggerates them. We do not use standard cheap primers to cover these.
Before any mineral is applied, we execute our Level 5 Dustless Resurfacing protocol. We use a high-adhesion mineral skim coat to fill all voids, followed by mechanical Festool sanding to create a perfectly flat, zero-defect canvas. This is a non-negotiable structural requirement.
Per-wall pricing — only pay for what you need. Start with one feature wall and see the difference.
Includes: Surface preparation, 2 coats of Lime Paint, material & labour.
Excludes: Hacking, plastering, or repair of damaged walls.
Note: Pricing is for Lime Paint only. Other finishes are quoted separately.
Mineral finishes are hand-applied materials. Variations in tone, texture, and movement are inherent and intentional.
